Overview
The New Brunswick Aquarium and Marine Centre is Atlantic Canada’s largest public aquarium. Here you can discover a great number and variety of fish and invertebrate species native to the Gulf of St. Lawrence and the lakes and rivers of the Maritimes, including a unique collection of coloured lobsters, notably the sensational blue lobster.
The Aquarium and Marine Centre offers bilingual services, exhibits, documentaries, and animations.
Period of operation:
Open to the public from the end of May until the end of September. Guided or self-guided tours are available for groups, especially schools, during non-summer months upon reservation.

Description
The habitat of many species that live in the waters of the Gulf of St. Lawrence has been recreated in our tanks to show the beauty and complexity of these ecosystems. Visitors can come and meet the seals at the aquarium and even touch certain specimens. Staff are on hand with lots of information to share. The permanent exhibition room offers a window on the current state of the fishing and aquaculture industry; during self-guided tours, visitors can view exclusive documentaries made especially to underscore the importance of these industries in New Brunswick. Young visitors and school children will also be very happy to find various games and information stations about the underwater world especially adapted for them in the educational playroom. The New Brunswick Aquarium and Marine Centre is a place of discovery and fun for every member of the family and is sure to please everyone.
