Overview
Under the Bee Act, any person who owns or is in possession of honey bees or used beekeeping equipment requires a valid Certificate of Registration.
Eligibility
Any person or group who owns or is in possession of honey bees or used beekeeping equipment in New Brunswick is required to register. This includes anyone who keeps bees for personal or business use.
Description
Certificates of Registration are issued by the Provincial Apiarist. New beekeepers must register within 10 days of purchasing or obtaining honey bee colonies and each year, between May 15 and June 29th, every beekeeper is required to renew their registration. There is no fee for registration.
