SAINT JOHN (GNB) – The Peninsula Princess (F95) ferry linking Summerville and the Millidgeville area of Saint John will return to service Tuesday, April 2.

Permanent service dates will be established for the ferry beginning in 2014. The Peninsula Princess will leave service on the first Sunday in January and will return to service on the first Sunday in April, weather and ice conditions permitting.

The 24-car ferry operates on the Kennebecasis River between Sandy Point Road in Saint John and Summerville off Route 845 on the Kingston Peninsula.

The permanent service dates are expected to enable motorists to plan their travelling through each season and to provide consistency to the local operations of the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure.
