FREDERICTON (GNB) – The start of spring weight restrictions for truck traffic in northern New Brunswick has been delayed by one week due to an extended forecast of cold weather.

These restrictions will now take effect at midnight on Sunday, March 16, and remain in effect until May 18. Restrictions in southern New Brunswick will take effect at midnight on Sunday, March 9, and remain in effect until May 11. Details are online.

Should weather warrant, district engineers are authorized to close roads to trucks or impose weight restrictions on highways or portions of highways at any time.
