FREDERICTON (GNB) - Spring weight restrictions will be lifted from routes in southern New Brunswick on May 11 and in the north on May 18.

"The roads in northern New Brunswick are still experiencing frost heaves and require an extra week to regain strength," said Transportation and Infrastructure Minister Claude Williams.

Should weather conditions warrant, district engineers are authorized to close roads to trucks or to impose weight restrictions on highways or portions of highways at any time.
