RENOUS (GNB) – The Renous River Bridge No. 1, on Route 8 in Renous, will be closed to all traffic beginning at 3 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 29, and continuing until 3 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 1. This replaces the planned closure for tomorrow, Sept. 24.
This closure will allow for concrete placement and curing as part of repairs to the bridge. The pour will be dependent on the weather.
Detour signs will be posted. The detour route is through Route 118 (Gray Rapids and White Rapids).
The department apologizes for the inconvenience and encourages motorists to drive safely in construction zones. The public is encouraged to call 511 or visit the 511 webpage for updates on planned construction and maintenance activities.
