FREDERICTON (GNB) – The provincial government has released seven reports and studies related to Parlee Beach and the Shediac Bay watershed area.

These documents are the result of further studies and investigation work identified as part of the 14 recommendations presented by the Steering Committee for Parlee Beach Water Quality comprehensive report submitted to the government in April 2018.

The majority of projects and studies associated with the recommendations have been successfully completed, including developing an enhanced watershed monitoring program, conducting a hydraulic/hydrology study at the park pond, and education programs for boaters and owners of on-site sewage disposal systems.

Initiatives like the identification of stormwater management methods and developing a watershed management plan for the Shediac Bay watershed are ongoing.

The reports are available online.
