General Information


Courses & Training Provided by NBEMO:
NBEMO will offer a variety of emergency management related courses throughout a calendar year. These courses will range from basic such as the Basic Emergency Management (BEM) & ICS 100 & 200 to more advanced courses such as Emergency Operations Centre, Emergency Public Information, and advanced level Incident Command Training.

Course Scheduling: Basic courses are offered online and are available throughout the year at no cost to EM partners. Advanced courses are scheduled based on demand in support of community preparedness within the 12 regions. These courses will be instructor led and conducted in the regions once the demand and need are determined by the Regional Emergency Management Coordinator (REMC). NBEMO can also offer these courses in a virtual format based on need.

Individuals and/or organizations that are interested in taking a course with the appropriate pre-requisites, where none are currently scheduled on the NBEMO Training Calendar, then please send an email to [email protected] account and contact your local Regional Emergency Management Coordinator. Following this, your information will be placed on the waitlist.
 

 

Basic Emergency Management Self-Study (BEM)

 
The Basic Emergency Management (BEM) course in an online self-study format offered free to our EM partners. This course introduces the student to the fascinating domain of Emergency Management and is a prerequisite for advanced training. Incident Command System 100 (ICS-100)

 
NBEMO is the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) for ICS in New Brunswick. EM partners who wish to gain accesses to the online ICS-100 course, click here.
