FREDERICTON (CNB) – Natural Resources Minister Bruce Northrup will hold a live webcast on Thursday, Oct. 27, to answer questions from New Brunswickers about natural gas exploration and development.
The webcast will take place from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. on the Natural Gas From Shale website. Residents wishing to submit questions may do so by e-mail at [email protected] until 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 25.
"We believe it is of the upmost importance to provide New Brunswickers with the best possible information and to answer their questions about natural gas exploration and development," said Northrup. "We know that there are many concerns regarding the process, and this webcast will be an opportunity to address those questions directly."
Northrup will be joined by Annie Daigle, a hydrogeologist with the Department of Environment, and Craig Parks, a geologist with the Department of Natural Resources.
The webcast is part of ongoing efforts to engage New Brunswickers more directly on issues related to the shale gas industry.
