FREDERICTON (GNB) – Beginning May 21, New Brunswick residents may apply through mini-draws for available Crown reserve angling stretches.

The mini-draws are open only to New Brunswick residents who were unsuccessful in the 2013 regular Crown reserve draw.

"These mini-draws provide a second chance for these anglers to acquire recreational angling privileges on Crown-owned stretches of the Miramichi, Restigouche and Patapedia river systems,'' said Natural Resources Minister Bruce Northrup. "These stretches are some of the best waters anywhere to fly-fish for Atlantic salmon and trout so I encourage eligible anglers to take advantage of this great opportunity."

A listing of available stretches, the dates they are available and the call-in draw dates can be found on the Department of Natural Resources website or by visiting any department office.
