FREDERICTON (GNB) – The results of the resident moose draw are now available.

“I congratulate the successful applicants in this year’s resident moose draw,” said Energy and Resource Development Minister Rick Doucet. “I hope those New Brunswickers that have been selected have a safe and productive hunt.”

Hunters can verify the draw results by calling 1-800-459-3729 or by checking online at the Department of Energy and Resource Development website. When verifying the draw results, applicants require their Outdoors Card number. The department will not be notifying successful applicants by mail in the event of a Canada Post strike.

There were more than 61,000 applications for 4,643 moose licences available for this year’s hunt, which runs from Sept. 20 to Sept. 24. Licences will be available for purchase starting Aug. 15.
