The Prescription Drug Program provides drug coverage to eligible residents of New Brunswick.

Eligibility

Individuals who hold a valid health card issued by the Department of Social Development. Eligibility for drug coverage through this plan is determined by the Department of Social Development. (see Related Links)

Description

The New Brunswick Prescription Drug Program Formulary (see Related Links) lists the drugs which are eligible for coverage for each plan.

Individuals on this plan are required to pay a co-payment of $4.00 for each prescription for adults (18 and over) and $2.00 for children (under 18 years) up to a maximum of $250 per family unit in a fiscal year.
