Overview

The Growth Hormone Deficiency Plan is a provincial drug plan that provides coverage for certain growth hormone deficiency drugs for eligible New Brunswick residents.

Eligibility

New Brunswick residents, under the age of 19, diagnosed with Growth Hormone Deficiency may apply for the Growth Hormone Deficiency Plan if they:

  • have a valid New Brunswick Medicare card, and
  • do not have coverage for any portion of the cost of growth hormone drugs from any other drug plan

Description

The drugs that are eligible for coverage with this plan are listed on the New Brunswick Drug Plans Formulary.

The Growth Hormone Deficiency Plan has an annual premium of $50 and a copayment per prescription. The copayment is 20% of the prescription cost up to a maximum of $20. There is a maximum copayment amount of $500 per family unit per year (July 1st to June 30th).
