ST. GEORGE (CNB) - The provincial government is investing in the skateboard park in St. George.

Fisheries Minister Rick Doucet made the announcement during the official opening of the facility.

"The provincial government is proud to be a partner in this community project," said Doucet. "This project for St. George and the region will allow our young people to continue to be active and our communities to continue to thrive."

Doucet spoke on behalf of Business New Brunswick Minister Victor Boudreau, who is also the minister responsible for the Regional Development Corporation.

The provincial government is investing $67,000 in the project.
