SAINTE-MARIE-SAINT-RAPHAËL (CNB) – The provincial government is investing $59,300 in the purchase of fire-fighting equipment for the Village of Sainte-Marie-Saint-Raphaël.

"This investment will enable the local volunteer fire department to secure much-needed equipment for its new fire truck to protect the residents of Sainte-Marie-Saint-Raphaël and surrounding communities," said Economic Development Minister Paul Robichaud.

Funding provided through the Regional Development Corporation will used to help defray the costs of outfitting the fire truck. The fire department serves the village and neighbouring local service districts.

Robichaud joined Henri-Pierre Duguay, mayor of Sainte-Marie-Saint-Raphaël, for the announcement.
