LAMÈQUE (GNB) – The provincial government is investing $90,000 in a community infrastructure project in Lamèque.

“The provincial government is proud to invest in this type of community project that will help assist and better serve Lamèque Island and the surrounding area,” said Economic Development Minister Paul Robichaud.

The funds will help the local non-profit group Secours Amitié. The group will use the funds to help cover the costs of renovating and expanding a new facility that will serve as a base for local non-profit groups that assist residents.
