SAINT-LOUIS-DE-KENT (GNB) – A total of $86,000 is being invested in two infrastructure projects in Saint-Louis-de-Kent and Richibucto.

"It is important to invest in our infrastructures to maintain our recreational facilities," said Economic Development Minister Paul Robichaud. "These two municipalities will be hosting the Jeux de l'Acadie in 2013, and they need to have adequate facilities to host the athletes and the Games. All of the residents in the area will be able to enjoy the recreational activities and the resulting health benefits."

Robichaud, Saint-Louis-de-Kent Mayor Danielle Dugas and Richibucto Mayor Roger Doiron attended the announcement.

Through the Family and Youth Capital Assistance Program, $43,000 will be used to build a new tennis court and renovate two existing courts in Saint-Louis-de-Kent. The other $43,000 will be used to help set up an athletics track in Richibucto. Thus, both municipalities are receiving equal investments in their respective projects.
