LE GOULET (GNB) – The provincial government is investing $312,000 in six community and infrastructure projects in Le Goulet and the surrounding area.

"The provincial government is proud to invest in these community projects, which will help protect the environment, make our roads safer and promote a dynamic community life that are important for Le Goulet and the Acadian Peninsula," said Economic Development Minister Paul Robichaud, who is also minister responsible for the Regional Development Corporation.

The investments are:

●    $231,000 to improve Pointe-Sauvage Road;
●    $37,000 to support a project protecting the coastline;
●    $21,000 to buy equipment for the community centre;
●    $20,000 to support an environmental impact assessment of a project to replace the municipality's drainage system;
●    $2,000 to help l’Association sportive du Goulet plan an event; and
●    $1,000 to help organize le Festival des châteaux de sable.
