VAL-COMEAU (GNB) – The provincial government is investing a total of $410,000 in five community infrastructure projects in Val-Comeau and Tracadie-Sheila.

"The provincial government is proud to invest in community infrastructure projects to modernize the province's tourism infrastructure; help protect the environment and our shorelines; and promote healthy living for residents and families in Val-Comeau and Tracadie-Sheila and on the Acadian Peninsula," said Economic Development Minister Paul Robichaud, who is also minister responsible for the Regional Development Corporation.

The investments are:

●    $225,000 to protect the ecological habitat along the coastline;
●    $140,000 to develop three kilometres of the Vélo-Route section going through Tracadie-Sheila;
●    $20,000 to improve the playground on the beach at Camping Val-Comeau;
●    $20,000 to build a modern, safe community playground in Tracadie-Sheila, and
●    $5,000 to support Aquafête in Tracadie-Sheila.
