SAINT-ANTOINE (GNB) – The new multifunctional centre in Saint-Antoine officially opened its doors today.

“The provincial government is proud to have invested in this important recreational and community infrastructure facility,” said Kent South MLA Benoît Bourque. “This project created jobs and will support the health and well-being of local families for many years to come.”

Bourque attended the event on behalf of Health Minister Victor Boudreau, who is also the minister responsible for the Regional Development Corporation.

“I would like to acknowledge that this project would not have taken place without the government’s important participation,” said Saint-Antoine Mayor Roseline Maillet.

The provincial government invested $500,000 in the development through the Regional Development Corporation. The building, covering 1,980 square metres (22,000 square feet), consists of a municipal library, municipal offices, lobby and community hall.
