DALHOUSIE (GNB) – The provincial government is contributing up to $144,000 for infrastructure improvements at the Rotary Park in Dalhousie.

“The provincial government invests in community projects such as Rotary Park to promote active, healthy lifestyles,” said Post-Secondary Education, Training and Labour Minister Donald Arseneault, who is also the minister responsible for the Regional Development Corporation. “We are proud to be a partner with the Rotary Club in this important recreational community project for Dalhousie.”

Funding will go toward construction of a water fountain, upgrading the children’s playground, and refurbishing the stairs that lead to the courthouse from the park.

“Rotary is committed to the betterment of our community, and, in this case specifically, providing an area for quiet reflection to further enhance the overall participation in our beautiful green space for all to enjoy,” said Nicolas Kiss, president of Dalhousie Rotary Club.

In addition to the government’s investment through the Regional Development Corporation, the Dalhousie Rotary Club is contributing $150,000 toward the project.
