FREDERICTON (CNB) - Six golfers have joined the New Brunswick team headed to the Canada Games, to be held in August in Prince Edward Island.

The male team is composed of Alexandre Robichaud of Inkerman, Justin Richard of Dieppe, and Kyle Blacquier of Fredericton. The coach is Louis Melanson of Moncton.

Morgan Matchett of Miramichi, Jennifer Whalen of Rothesay, and Jennifer Armstrong of Rothesay are members of the female team. Bari Gourley of Rusagonis is the coach.

Golf is a new sport at the Canada Games this summer. It will be played during the second week of competitions, Aug. 23-29.
