FREDERICTON (GNB) – Softball New Brunswick has announced the members of the softball team that will represent the province at the Canada Summer Games.

The team members are:

●    Katelyn Carr of Rusagonis;
●    Brianna Church of Sussex;
●    Sam DeBortoli of Saint John;
●    Sydney DeBortoli of Saint John;
●    Erin Freeze of Saint John;
●    Lorie Graham of Grand Bay-Westfield;
●    Megan Hayward of Quispamsis;
●    Morgan Johnston of Sussex;
●    Shelby Justason of Quispamsis;
●    Melissa Kenny of Moncton;
●    Nathalie LeBlanc of Memramcook;
●    Abbie MacGowan of Saint John;
●    Lindsey Munro of Saint John;
●    Alecia O'Brien of Saint John; and
●    Kelsie Wear of Quispamsis.

The coaches are Bob LeBlanc of Dieppe and Rachelle Duguay of Dieppe. The manager is David Duguay of Campbellton.

Softball competitions will be held during the first week of the 2013 Canada Summer Games, to be held Aug. 2-17 in Sherbrooke, Que. The Games will bring together 4,200 athletes to compete in 20 disciplines at 20 sites. Team New Brunswick will consist of 415 athletes, coaches, managers and mission staff.
