"Triathlon NB is excited about our Canada Games team, and we feel that these six young people will make New Brunswick proud at the Games," said Paul Lavoie, president of Triathlon NB. "Without the whole team working together during the last seven months, we could not have produced the quality team that has been selected. I believe that, because of all these young people, Triathlon NB has turned a corner in the development of our junior program, and it bodes well for the future of the sport."

Triathlon competitions will be held during the second week of the 2013 Canada Summer Games, to be held Aug. 2-17 in Sherbrooke, Que. The Games will bring together 4,200 athletes to compete in 20 disciplines at 20 sites. Team New Brunswick will consist of 415 athletes, coaches, managers and mission staff.
