FREDERICTON (GNB) – All operations have been restored to New Brunswick’s provincial parks and attractions following Post Tropical Storm Arthur.

Mactaquac Provincial Park and New River Beach sustained the most damage. Electricity and water services have been restored to both campgrounds.

In addition, the following developments have taken place:

  • The golf course and restaurant at Mactaquac Provincial Park have re-opened. Daily activities have resumed as planned. Visitors are encouraged to continue using caution on the trails.
  • Herring Cove Provincial Park has re-opened.

“We wish to thank the staff members who have worked diligently to restore operations following the damages left by Post Tropical Storm Arthur,” said Tourism, Heritage and Culture Minister Trevor Holder. “Our parks are terrific places to explore our natural wonders and the outdoors. We are committed to ensuring that experience continues to be available.”
