FREDERICTON (GNB) – The 2015 New Brunswick Travel Guide was unveiled today by Tourism, Heritage and Culture Minister Bill Fraser.

“The annual travel guide is an integral tool to boost the industry and promote what we have to offer,” said Fraser. “Tourism is an important economic driver that will help us move New Brunswick forward. For every dollar invested in promoting New Brunswick as a tourism destination there is a return of $3.50 that we can reinvest towards job creation and helping our families.”

The guide contains information on more than 1,600 products such as accommodations, tourism experiences and events the province has organized around the five scenic drives: Appalachian Range Route, River Valley Scenic Drive, Acadian Coastal Drive, Miramichi River Route and Fundy Coastal Drive.

This year’s guide has been adapted to include a stronger link to online resources, tools, videos and social media websites. The printed guide has been improved visually with more images, and in a practical sense with a tear-out map feature and an easy-to-read accommodation and campground section.

In addition, the Experience Collection sections have been redesigned to help guests identify and tailor travel based on culinary interests, learning and outdoor experiences.

“I am proud of this year’s travel guide,” said Fraser. “It captures our message that New Brunswick is big enough to deliver world-class tourism and small enough to care. With its new look and its connection to the online world and social media, the 2015 guide will connect New Brunswickers and visitors to unique and authentic experiences in our beautiful province.”
