RED DEER, Alta. (GNB) – New Brunswick’s curling teams kicked off the second week of competition at the Canada Winter Games in Red Deer, Alta. on Sunday, Feb. 24.

The men’s team composed of Rahman Dalrymple, Alexander Peasley, Logan Pugsley and Boo Porter sits 1-1 after Sunday’s draws against Nova Scotia and Ontario.

The women’s foursome of Rachel Brewer, Erica Cliff, Ashley Cormier and Deanna MacDonald sits 0-2 after Sunday’s draws against Nova Scotia and Ontario. They lost Sunday night’s draw by one point to Ontario.

Both curling teams play Newfoundland and Labrador and Quebec in Monday’s draws.

In squash, Team New Brunswick tied Newfoundland and Labrador 2-2 in team play.

The women’s hockey team played a late-evening game against Team Quebec.

Competition will start on Monday for badminton, cross-country skiing, figure skating, gymnastics trampoline and alpine skiing.

The men and women’s Super G in alpine skiing takes place in Kananaskis.

Judo starts its competition on Tuesday.
