FREDERICTON (GNB) – The following message was issued by Premier Blaine Higgs:

It is my pleasure to join everyone in celebrating New Brunswick Day. This day serves not only as an opportunity to acknowledge what makes our province special, but also to recognize the diverse group of people that make it their home.

As New Brunswickers, we have a shared sense of history, culture, and inclusivity which has helped to shape our province. As our province grows, so does our diversity, enriching our lives and making us stronger.

Each individual brings something unique and important, but it is when we come together that we truly shine.

Our population is growing, as is our economy and our reputation, as more and more people recognize all that our province has to offer.

Whether you choose to spend the holiday weekend enjoying our picturesque landscape or supporting your favourite local businesses, I encourage you to take some time to think about and be inspired by our accomplishments as a province.

Let’s be proud of what we have achieved together, knowing that it is just the beginning of what is possible. Truly, the future of our province is bright.
