The New Brunswick Drug Plans conduct provider audits to provide reasonable assurance that the dispensing, claim submission, billing and reporting practices of participating providers are following the criteria established by the Prescription Drug Payment Act, the Prescription and Catastrophic Drug Insurance Act, as well as the requirements of other government sponsored plans, their respective regulation and applicable policies.  Audits also serve to inform and educate participating providers and help to identify and prevent fraudulent activities.
