ROTHESAY (GNB) – The provincial government is investing $28,500 towards improvements to the Dreamland Playground situated at Fairvale Elementary School in Rothesay.

"The provincial government is proud to invest in community projects that promote healthy living for New Brunswick students and families," said Health Minister Hugh Flemming. "Today's investment in our community will bring countless hours of enjoyment to not only the students at Fairvale Elementary, but also the many young families we have living in Rothesay.”

Flemming participated in the announcement today on behalf of Natural Resources Minister Paul Robichaud, who is also the minister responsible for the Regional Development Corporation.

The investment was made possible through the Regional Development Corporation’s Family and Youth Capital Assistance Program. It enables community groups, non-profit organizations, local service districts, and municipalities to obtain funding for youth and family-related projects such as playgrounds, sports or recreational facilities, community centres and equipment.
