NEGUAC (GNB) – Residents and community members joined with provincial representatives to unveil the design of the new Complexe Rendez-vous nursing home in Neguac today.

“We are excited to be moving forward with this new facility which will enhance the quality of life for residents, families and staff,” said Social Development Minister Madeleine Dubé. “Before long, residents will have a brand new building in their home community.”

The $9.12 million, 30-bed facility will be located on 125 L. Allain St. in Neguac and is expected to be completed in the fall of 2015.

“As a government, caring for our seniors is a responsibility we take seriously,” said Dubé. “I am proud that the new Complexe Rendez-vous will make a significant difference in the lives of our seniors in the Neguac area.”

The nursing home is part of the provincial government's 2011-2016 Nursing Home Renovation and Replacement Plan, under which 354 nursing home beds and 704 specialized care beds are being created.
