FREDERICTON  (GNB) – Velo NB has announced the names of the three cyclists selected to represent New Brunswick's mountain bike racing at the Canada Summer Games.

The team members are:

●    Neil Symington of Sussex;
●    Cole Denovan of Fredericton; and
●    Matthew Rinehart of Oromocto.

The coach is Toby Bourque of Rothesay. The manager / mechanic is Brian McKeown of Fredericton.

Mountain bike racing at the Canada Games is running under a different format for the first time this year. Previously linked with the road events, mountain bike is separate this year, running on a different week and with two new events: the cross country eliminator, which runs similarly to a four-cross in snowboarding; and the team relay. These new races, along with the traditional cross country Olympic format race, will provide an exciting and challenging week for all the teams present.

Mountain bike competitions will be held during the first week of the 2013 Canada Summer Games, to be held Aug. 2-17 in Sherbrooke, Que. The Games will bring together 4,200 athletes to compete in 20 disciplines at 20 sites. Team New Brunswick will consist of 415 athletes, coaches, managers and mission staff.
