The census, conducted every five years, provides a rich and detailed picture of Canada’s people and their demographic, social and economic characteristics. Statistics Canada reinstated the mandatory long-form questionnaire for the 2016 Census of Population. Census Day was Tuesday, May 10, 2016.

Statistics Canada will release census data throughout 2017. The Department of Finance will prepare short, analytical articles providing information on New Brunswick’s results and characteristics of the population. Below are links to some of the topic highlights.
